The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, radiocommunications, telecommunications and the internet. The ACMA’s purpose is to maximise the economic and social benefits of communications and media for Australia. We achieve this by fostering a communications and media environment that balances the needs of industry and the Australian community through education and advice, facilitation of access to resources, and regulation.

The Office of the eSafety Commissioner’s (eSafety) purpose is to help safeguard Australians at risk from online harms and to promote safer, more positive online experiences. eSafety leads and co-ordinates the online safety efforts across Commonwealth departments, authorities and agencies and engages with key online safety stakeholders. It has a broad remit which includes administering complaint schemes and the creation of audience-specific content and programs to help educate all Australians about online safety.

The eSafety Commissioner is an independent statutory office holder supported by staff from the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

We seek to attract, develop and retain a diverse, enthusiastic and high-performing workforce. To help us in achieving this, we maintain a register of interested applicants for use by managers to fill temporary (non-ongoing) roles up to a maximum period of 18 months.

The register is used on a needs basis to fill positions at the Australian Public Service (APS) 3 to APS 6 classifications or Executive Level 1 to Executive Level 2 classifications. The positions may be full time, part time or casual depending on business needs.
